Where does my gift go?

100% of your donation will go to the American Indian Community House (AICH), a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization serving the health, social service, and cultural needs of Native Americans residing on the land now known as New York City. AICH was founded in 1969, by Native American volunteers as a community-based organization mandated to improve the status of Native Americans, and to foster intercultural understanding. Today AICH welcomes members of more than 72 Indigenous Nations. This includes the Lenni Lenape, Haudenosaunee, and Shinnecock, all of whom are original people of this place.

This website is maintained by the Manna-hatta Fund, a group of non-Native, settler volunteers in New York City who honor Native people’s right to land, resources, culture, and autonomy. AICH has unrestricted and direct authority over the use of donations to the Manna-hatta Fund.

AICH uses Manna-hatta Fund donations for their programs that support Indigenous culture, education, health, and social services, as well as securing a permanent home for the Community House in Manhattan. AICH also shares funds generated by the Manna-hatta Fund with other trusted Indigenous organizations doing important work in New York City, such as the American Indian Law Alliance and Lunaapew, the Lenape diaspora project.

Indigenous organizations interested in receiving support from AICH should reach out directly to the Executive Director, Patricia Tarrant, at ptarrant@aich.org. Manna-hatta Fund volunteers do not determine where resources are allocated. Inquiries made directly to the Manna-hatta Fund will be forwarded to AICH.

Follow AICH on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, and their website. NYU’s Hemispheric Institute also has an incredible archive of AICH photos and videos.
